Insights from the Story of Creation
The very first line of the Bible says about the story of creation, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
And when we deeply meditate 'the story of creation', there are some philosophy and rules lined up. Let’s think about the situation of earth. It was formless and desolate. Yeah, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." How can we read it with a philosophy? How can we take these lines with our way of life?
It reflects our way of life when we are out of everything. Many times, we feel there is nothing with us and that may be more enough to deeply fall in the disappointment which will harm our pleasant life and lead us out of heaven. 'Formless and desolate' also represent the lack of characterization and skills. And 'darkness' denotes the state of sinful life too. But if the 'Spirit of God' comes in our life, God will command to happen good things, as " And God said, Let there be light: and there was light."
Another thing we must understand is; though the Almighty God can make an immediate change to the 'formless and desolate' earth, He made it happen by time. Even the Creator did not make a command of 'Get Lost' to the formless and desolate state of earth, why? He did it the way, we have to understand how to overcome the stress and disappointment by prayer. It is not to pray for deliver us from those, but make us more confident and make our days more happier than it was.
"God was pleased with what he saw. Then he separated the light from the darkness,..." God was pleased with what he saw, this what He says on what should be our attitude. Even in the six days of creation, He was pleased on His fruitful attempt. In all the sixth day, we see that scriptures say that 'God was pleased with what he saw.' God was pleased with what he saw after First day of creation. Still he didn't stop himself to look beyond. Even after the Second day of creation, God was pleased with what he saw and consequently after the Fifth day of creation, God was pleased with what he saw. Still He didn't stop himself to look beyond, thus how we human created in the earth. He showed us a perfect way of how should be we even after we see our fruitful effort. We must have to look beyond that means victory always meant.
The next understanding is the power of Word.
The Almighty God can even make the world by thinking itself. But the scriptures says, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light". When he spoke out, it happens. That's what he always remind us to use words wisely!
